Wildflower Tours
| Spring on the prairie brings life in many forms. Prairie wildflowers are truly a wonder to the mind and a gift to the senses. A large variety of flowers begin to bloom in May. Many of which show their colors and beauty through the summer. You can almost drown in the vast sea of color... |
Wildflower Tours are by reservation only and are
scheduled several times every season. A small fee is also
charged for these tours.
The nice rains we have gotten the past few weeks has woken
the prairie wildflowers from their winter slumber and prodded
them into a beautiful display. Several species are currently
flowering including the fragrant Sand Snowball Verbena, the
extremely showy Grand Evening Primrose, the low growing
Purple Poppy Mallow or as some know it "Wine Cup";
Prairie Sunflower and many more...
